The journey
My name is Jamil Aslam, a dedicated front-end developer based in London. With a robust background in sales cultivated from an early stage in my career, coupled with an enduring passion for the arts and web development, I have made the conscious decision to transition into a field that aligns with my interests and offers ample opportunity for growth. Seeking a blend of creativity, technical prowess, and challenge, I embarked on a journey into front-end development. In March 2017, I enrolled in the esteemed Development Professional Programme with Just IT, a self-funded endeavor that marked my initial stride into the realm of front-end development. With six years of experience in web development now, I started my commercial journey in 2019 at a digital pharmaceutical agency. There, I collaborated with project managers, designers, and QA teams. Transitioning to a media buying agency specializing in marketing for venture capitalists/investors, I've honed a broad skill set. My role evolved into digital design, merging web development and design skills. This experience has equipped me with proficiency in Adobe Suite, cross-browser compatibility, a keen eye for detail and design principles.

My Skills
HTML5
I have 6 years experience working with HTML5, from using it for personal projects to freelance work. Out of those 4 years I have 5 years commercial experience working with HTML5 which I would use day to day. I am very confident in my ability using HTML as I have created pages and websites from scratch.
CSS3
Similar to HTML, I have 5 years commercial experience and I am very confident using css and sass as these langauges would be implemented into day to day practices creating fully responsive pages compatible with different devices and search engines. I would also prodominently use CSS to create animations opposed to using JS as CSS holds less weight making websites and animations perform better.
Javascript
Now starting to build a strong foundation with Javascript, I have built Javasript projects adding to it when I can and I also have 5 years commercial experience. I have had to create an elearning module for healthcare specialists which consists of answering the correct multiple choice questions, some with 1 answer others with up to 5 answers which then lets the user know at the end of the module which questions were wrong/correct and if they passed the quiz with the option to retake.
Adobe suite
I decided to become fermiliar with adobe suite programs as this is an aspect which sets me apart from other front end developers. I have been using Adobe suite for a total of 10 years (5 of those years are commercial)
React.js
I have 3 months experience implementing React.js into my personal projects/practices looking to become well versed with react js as I am in other launguages.
C#
I decided to create a game using C# to demonstrate my ability to learn new launguages, become adaptable and broaden my knowledge and get a clearer understanding on how this can differ to Javascript
